BRIEF HISTORY/ COMMISSIONED PROJECTS AND PERFORMANCES


Born in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1973 moved to London.

'73 - '76: Attended the lower levels of the University of Life in London and round Europe.

'76 -'79: Lead singer of punk band ZZITZ. Lead singer and musician with Scottish/Irish traditional band THE TROUBADORS.

'79 - '84: Performance comic working on the Alternative Cabaret Circuit.

'85: Moved into the more obscure but artistically liberating world of performance art/experimental theatre.

'87: Lived in New York, then moved to Belfast to concentrate on writing.

'89: Finished short story collection - THE HAPPIEST GOATS IN THE
WORLD - several of which are published in PASSAGES (New Irish
Writing). Moved to Dublin.

'89 -'92: Working on short novel, PACKING A HEADCASE upublished but the material used towards performance pieces THE HELICOPTER MAN, NOTES ON NOISE &, URBAN MINEFIELDS.

'92 - Present day: Continuing to write and perform. Shortlisted in 1998 for Tribune/Hennessey award for published piece - FISHING IN THE FAST LANE. For the last three years been living between Dublin and Barcelona. Between 1998 & 2001, wrote THE QUIET BASTARD, - a novel and stage presentation. Currently being considered for publication by Six Gallery Press.

1988: 'The Teddy Bear's Picnic'. The Tron Theatre, Glasgow.

1986: 'Drip Drip'. Franklin Furnace, New York.

1985: 'Letter to Mother'. National Review of Live Art. Nottingham.
